About Worbi
Worbi is a Swedish-English flashcard app. Type a Swedish word and Worbi fills in the translation, examples and inflections, then spaced repetition (FSRS) brings each word back right before you'd forget it.
What does Worbi do?
Worbi helps you keep the Swedish words you learn. You collect words on flashcards, and the app decides when you see each one again.
- Cards that fill themselves in. Type a Swedish word and the built-in dictionary adds the English translation, example sentences and inflections, such as en or ett and the plural. You can edit anything before you save.
- Spaced repetition. Every card is scheduled with FSRS-4.5, an open scheduling algorithm that predicts when you are about to forget a word.
- Smart Review. One session from the Study tab that gathers the cards due today across all your collections.
- Mistakes. Words you got wrong stay on a list until you answer them correctly, and you can study that list on its own.
- Practice. Drill a folder or a collection as often as you like; words that are not due yet keep their review schedule.
- Photo word import. Take a photo of a page and pick the words you want as cards. The text is recognised on your phone.
- Community collections. Find word collections that other learners have published, and add them to your own library.
- Offline-first, with sync. Everything works without a connection. Your cards sync across your devices when you are back online.
Who is Worbi for?
Worbi is for people learning Swedish: newcomers to Sweden, students in SFI and anyone who wants to build a Swedish vocabulary they keep. If you are studying for SFI, the SFI vocabulary guide is a good place to start.
Worbi is available on iPhone now. Android is coming soon.
