Worbi vs Quizlet for Swedish vocabulary

Quizlet is a study app for every subject: you make or find sets of terms and definitions, free with an optional Plus subscription. Worbi is made only for Swedish-English vocabulary: type a Swedish word and the card fills in the translation, examples and inflections, then FSRS schedules each review. Choose Quizlet for many subjects, Worbi for Swedish.

What is the difference between Worbi and Quizlet?

Quizlet is a study app for every subject. You make sets of terms and definitions, or find sets other people made, and study them with flashcards, games, Learn mode and practice tests. Students use it for all kinds of subjects.

Worbi does one subject. It is a Swedish-English vocabulary app with a dictionary built in, so a card is not two blank fields but a full entry for the word: translation, examples and inflections, ready when you type it.

How do you make Swedish cards in each app?

In Quizlet you create a set and type each term and definition, with suggestions appearing as you type. You can set the language of each side to Swedish, import a list, scan a document, or let Smart Assist turn your notes into cards.

In Worbi you type the Swedish word and the card fills in. Type hus and you get ett hus, the translation, examples and the forms huset, hus and husen. You can also photograph a page, pick the words, and Worbi reads the text on your phone. Every noun carries its gender, which the guide en or ett explains.

How do the apps decide what you review?

Quizlet's Learn mode builds a study path from how familiar you are with a set, and its app listing says it resurfaces material with spaced repetition. You usually study one set at a time.

Worbi gives every word its own FSRS-4.5 schedule, across all your collections at once. The Study tab shows what is due today, a Mistakes list holds the words you got wrong, and Practice lets you drill one collection ahead of schedule without pulling its reviews forward. See spaced repetition and FSRS, explained.

What does each app cost?

Quizlet is free, and Quizlet Plus is an optional subscription that adds ad-free studying and more use of Learn and practice tests. Worbi is free on iPhone with an optional Premium subscription. An Android version is coming soon.

Where does ready-made Swedish content come from?

Quizlet has a large library of Swedish sets made by its users, so you can often find a list for your textbook or course. Worbi has Community collections, Swedish word sets that other learners publish and you can add to your library. For a starting list, see common Swedish words to learn first.
